Comments about the TMDC

There are many courses to train managers and supervisors in the techniques of management/leadership development.  But, from my experience, people learn best when they learn by doing and experiencing, vs. being taught.  That’s why I think the Team Management Development Center (TMDC) is so powerful and so successful in engaging participants in the practice of honing critical leadership/management skills.

The TMDC approach uses a simulated work environment to give participants the opportunity to practice, assess, and develop their management skills in a “safe” setting.  In the TMDC simulation, the participant is dynamically confronted with a variety of “real work” issues. Throughout the simulation, the participant and the coach discuss specific feedback about decisions, performance, and interactions.  And, only in a simulation can you literally roll back the clock and try another approach to a situation that didn’t go the way you wanted it to the first time.

When it comes to enhancing performance and career opportunities, the TMDC provides a powerful process that can’t be beaten!

This is like no other training or development event I have participated in. I feel the experience has confirmed my thoughts on my own performance against the competencies, raised my awareness of my weaknesses and, importantly, given some development plans on how to improve.”

"Leaving with a plan and/or challenge to evaluate and shore up my skills exceeded my expectations!"

"What I liked best was real-life situations with a trainer-coach to say ‘think about this; think about that.’ It was appreciated that he stopped me when things were not going right, or when I did the right thing. This was a great and timely experience.”

“Both trainers were very professional and made the whole seminar worthwhile. I have been sent to many seminars, but I want you to know that this is the first that I have attended that will be this useful. The trainers were top-notch and very well-prepared. I was impressed with both.”
