Established in 1987, this forum exists for Plant Managers to come together informally, across different companies and cultures, to share learnings and problems, and to think through the future needs of their plants. Membership remains small (15 – 25) so that relationships can form allowing for open sharing of experiences.
The network meets annually at the location of different network members. Every effort is made to have the date, location, and theme finalized and announced 3 – 5 months prior to the session.
Ellen and Tommy Davis serve as organizers, planners, facilitators and records keepers.
There is no fee for joining the Network. The only costs to members are their share of the group meals, meeting room, etc., and their share of the facilitators travel costs for attending.
A typical agenda:
Day 1
Sunday morning – The host plant plans golf or some other outing for those who arrive early.
3 PM – Updates of members since last session
6 PM – Refreshments and dinner
Day 2
All day – Focused topic, guest speaker, discussions, etc.
Evening – Informal get-together over dinner
